Sunday Stills Challenge this week is The Open Road:
I have included several "Road" shots this time. The first one is of this past winter, when we had the big winter storm. This is the road going to our home once we reached the top of the mountain. Many were un-able to get up the mountain much less get off of it.
Here is when it "thawed out" and once the water started receding. And this is just one of the low water bridges towards the bottom of the mountain. Took a long time to clean up.
This shot is actually even further down the mountain and where you see water is actually a low water bridge. There was NO crossing that one.
This shot is from our most recent trip to the Kansas City area, just up from Bartle Hall (probably misspelled too lol) This is where I realized that we really needed to get out more, when my daughter got so excited and yelled "Mom look, look, look, theres a HOTEL!" um yeah we kinda like our mountain teheheh.
Now this "Road" Picture is kinda special. This is of one that cant wait to GET ON the Road! She is also the reason we travel the roads we do,lol.
I hope you enjoyed these and I hope to get out a bit more and bring you more pictures from our part of the mountain!
Get out into the world and Satisfy Your Senses! Thank You Ed for this great challenge.

ReplyDeleteawww... FUN! I mean, the last one is fun - the 'not being able to get through' part: not so fun. lol
ReplyDeleteThose are definitely some challenging roads!! Your daughter is a lil' cutie!! I'm sure she's a blast on your trips.
ReplyDeletenice photos mary :)
ReplyDeleteNice shots! The winter road shot is really amazing :)
ReplyDeleteWow! That's a frosty photo! It looks so lovely, but not for driving in--and the mud aftermath, yikes!
ReplyDeleteNice pictures and story. That snow/ice shot looks very cold. I feel for you on the flooding. Great picture at the end.
ReplyDeleteThat first one is oh, so close to being true. It's suppose to be in the mid 60s for high next week and the lows in the 40s. Doesn't sound southern Ohio weather to me. Beautiful winter shot. Some of the others I'm not sure if I want to drive through, but the driver in the last one looks like she has it under control. Great job.
ReplyDeleteThank you all for your comments! I really enjoy reading what you post. I also love sharing a little piece of my world lol. Yes, my little one is quiet the "can do" type. I cant wait to see what other adventures we have ahead of us!
